She was last seen in a short video from that Saturday morning huddling in a small shelter with a police officer and other partygoers, one of whom appeared to have been shot in the leg. Her family clung to the video as hope she had managed to escape, but after a week of searching, they were informed on October 14 that her body had been identified.

In her final texts around 8 a.m., Liraz begged a relative to call the police and said they were hiding in the shelter and trying to stay quiet. Liraz and Sofia were both murdered alongside many others when the terrorists threw grenades inside the bomb shelter and opened fire on the partygoers.

From Ramat Shlomo in Jerusalem, she was a Bnei Akiva staff member, was one of six people killed in the Ramot Junction terror attack on Monday, 8 September 2025. She worked for many years as the Director of Public Relations in the Bnei Akiva youth movement's treasury and was murdered on her way to work at the national headquarters offices in the Nayot neighborhood of Jerusalem when she was murdered. She was laid to rest on Monday evening in the Har Hamenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem.

Killed in a Hamas attack on an army encampment on the outskirts of Gaza City as Lt. Matan Abramovitz, 21, from Ganei Tikva. Abramovitz, who served in the 401st Armored Brigade’s 52nd Battalion, was killed alongside the three other members of his tank early Monday.

She was an Israeli manicurist from Karnei Shomron who was murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023, while trying to flee the Supernova (Nova) music festival with her friend Libby Cohen Meguri. They were shot while driving away from the site.
